Some of today’s movie news of note from around New York:
-- were last night. If you’re still even interested in watching this year’s Oscars after last night's SAG Awards, expect the same three definite bathroom breaks and you won’t have to miss any of the commercials. Maybe the Academy can just hand out Helen’s, Forest’s and Jennifer’s awards right away and have more time for the montages.
-- Is Diane Keaton aware that the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s gala in her honor this spring will include selected highlights? Here’s what she said to the Post regarding some of her films: “I never look at those movies. Why would I? I don't want to see. What am I gonna do, look back?”
-- Surely if Hitchcock is the voice of the Jaws ride at Universal Studios, wouldn’t we have known about it before Bruce Dern (or Page Six) told us?
