As per tradition, some of today's positively-spun movie news of note from around New York:
--I've been holding this one just for today: Over at The House Next Door, Jeremiah Kipp runs through five of his favorite performances by Queens' greatest, Christopher Walken. Note also the comments stacking up at the bottom of Kipp's entry, bound to continue the discussion for the foreseeable future, though I must just say my peace here: Best Lead Role: King of New York; Best Supporting Role: Pulp Fiction. I couldn't choose one overall. Just couldn't.
--Yes! Yes! A Kyle Smith fatwa! Oh, fuck it: It's just hate mail.
--Bilge Ebiri liked Premonition -- I think: "(The) premise sounds like some unholy combination of sub-TV elements, like a poltergeist got control of your remote and won't stop furiously switching between the Sci-Fi Channel and Lifetime." All right, I'm sold.
