How far they have come from the days of inflatable rats, free lunch and letter-writing campaigns: IFC Center was generous enough to host The Reeler's inaugural Oscar party last month and, as an eagle-eyed tipster observed Monday, have officially gone into the high-karma-profit margin business of marriage proposals.
As the same tipster alludes, let's just hope for the proposer's sake that Wendy wasn't driving uptown on Sixth Avenue. And that religious institutions around the Village don't picket if the couple decides to exchange vows in Theater One.
