Having been mercilessly shut out of attending the event myself, the gentle souls at Open All Night pass along this high-powered political exchange outside Monday evening's Dreamgirls premiere:
HERE TV: “How do you feel about being a gay icon?”
BEYONCE KNOWLES: “It’s definitely my goal, and my dream.”
HERE TV: “To be a gay icon?”
BEYONCE: “Oh absolutely. That’s the ultimate thing I could be. That’s the ultimate compliment for me.”
In keeping with the theme of her film, godspeed to Miss Knowles on following her dreams, and here's hoping the dressing room for the opening act is as well-appointed as Jennifer Hudson's when they share a Vegas engagement 20 years from now.
