Stranger Than Fiction programmer Thom Powers just kicked a note under the door at Reeler HQ to confirm the first two screenings for the series' spring lineup. After tonight's showing of the 1982 gospel doc Say Amen, Somebody, featuring a Q&A with director George Nierenberg, the series resumes Feb. 20 with Daniel Gold and Judith Helfand's recent Sundance competition film Everything's Cool and continues Feb. 27 with Michael Tucker and Petra Epperlein's doc The Prisoner: Or, How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair. Powers notes that the latter film, about an Iraqi journalist mistakenly accused of plotting to assassinate the British prime minister, will feature a longer cut than the 54-minute version screened at last year's Toronto Film Festival.
Both screenings take place at IFC Center; keep an eye on its site for times and ticket information.
