Just when I thought my relaunch had cornered the day's market for insane, ambitious panoply, the Museum of the Moving Image just busted out with one of the more astonishing Web features I have seen in a long, long time: 40 of the museum's Pinewood Dialogues--some dating back over a decade--are now online for your listening pleasure. Among the filmmmakers and actors spotlighted are Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Altman, Tim Burton, Sidney Lumet, Mira Nair, Atom Egoyan, Neil Jordan, Todd Haynes, David Cronenberg, Tim Robbins and dozens more. And it is not even like they are short blips of chatter; we are talking about discussions and Q&A's pushing an hour long in some cases. And you can download them! For your iPod! It's total sick genius. I have never been happier to have my thunder stolen.
