As its recent foray into experimental banjo films may have indicated, The Reeler has been itching to try its hand at video for a while now. I'm pleased to say that Tribeca '07 is our big chance: The lovely folks at Spout are presenting the inaugural run of ReelerTV, a daily interview show promising a diverse range of guests from some of the festival's most significant films. It's a new leaf for us at Reeler HQ and a terrific opportunity to pair up with Spout, where viewers can go to discuss the featured titles as well as the rest of the fest (and any films on their mind, really). Spout will also be presenting our Tribeca reviews section, including scores of typically sharp insights from Reeler critics Michelle Orange, Vadim Rizov and Eric Kohn.
Both features launch April 25 -- our producers at Good Hard Working People have even assembled a convenient teaser to stamp that date into your memory. We hope you'll join us.
